Advisory: Do not seek jobs in Malaysia on the 30-day visa-free entry

The High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur has warned that more Indians are arriving on Malaysia's 30-day visa-free entry to look for work, and many are being misled by agents who make false job promises. This entry is for tourism and social visits only, and working without a valid work permit or a visa with reference (VDR) can lead to overstaying, exploitation, detention and legal action. Genuine visitors should carry a return ticket, a hotel booking, a passport valid for at least 6 months, and submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) 3 days before arrival.
